Calderys and Binzagr to Build Refractory Facility
11/18/2025 - Calderys announced it has partnered with Binzagr to build a new refractory facility in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
The companies said the 16,300-square-meter production plant will have a state-of-the-art monolithics line for dense and lightweight refractory castables along with a line for precast shapes and lances. It will primarily serve the needs of Saudi Arabia.
“Leveraging over thirty years of industry expertise and comprehensive regional knowledge, this investment demonstrates our steadfast commitment to sustainable economic growth and aligns with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030,” said Sheikh Abdullah Binzagr, chairman of Binzagr.
Calderys’ new facility will manufacture refractory products under HWI and Calderys’ trademarks. It will have the latest safety management standards, technical innovation and quality testing facilities.
“Our customers will benefit from an extensive portfolio of both Calderys and HWI solutions, increased product availability, with shorter lead times, and enhanced technical support,” said Aurélien Cadars, senior vice president EMEA of Calderys.
The partners said they are dedicated to serve various industries in the region including the iron and steel, aluminum, cement and petrochemical sectors.
