Changes at the top of SMS Siemag AG, SMS Holding GmbH
12/07/2011 - The SMS Group announced the planned retirement of Dr. Kay Mayland, President and CEO of SMS Siemag AG and Member of the SMS Holding GmbH Managing Board, on December 31, 2011, when his contract expires.
The SMS Group announced that Dr. Kay Mayland, President and CEO of SMS Siemag AG and Member of the SMS Holding GmbH Managing Board, will retire as planned on December 31, 2011, when his contract expires. At that time, Dr. Mayland will take a seat on the Supervisory Board of SMS Siemag AG.
In addition, Burkhard Dahmen, Member of SMS Siemag AG’s Managing Board of Steelmaking Plants/Continuous Casting Technology, will take on the role of SMS Siemag AG President and CEO as of January 1, 2012. At that time, Dahmen will simultaneously become a Board Member of SMS Holding GmbH.
Dahmen’s successor on the SMS Siemag AG Board is Dr. Guido Kleinschmidt, who is currently a Management Member of the Steelmaking Plants/Continuous Casting Technology Division of SMS Siemag AG.
