The companies said the project needed exact alignment of the tilting mechanism, frame structures and electromagnetic stirrer (EMS) system with the foundation, furnace shell and plant infrastructure. Everything was conducted within a four-week period, the company said. This included dismantling, structural adaptation, reinstallation and commissioning. 

For the engineering and installation, everything was preassembled and aligned during fabrication using 3D models and custom Primetals Technologies drawings. This enabled them to quickly install on-site and have minimal interface adjustments during construction, the companies said.
