Danieli Centro to Supply New Scrap Processing Plant For Barca Metals
03/03/2026 - Danieli Centro Recycling announced it will supply a shredder-based recycling plant for Barca Metals’ new yard in Razorback, Australia.
The companies said the main installation will be a DCR 2227 heavy-duty shredder powered by a 4,000 hp main motor using a Danieli-patented variable speed drive system. They estimate it will eliminate up to 20% of electrical consumption with an output of 100 metric tons hourly.
There will be a ZDS 250-800 preshredder upstream for safe debulking of incoming material. There will also be a complete separation line downstream.
