Danieli said the new unit is a Danieli Centro Masking grinding machine with the HiGrind® system. It processes square billets and rectangular blooms across various dimensions. Features include a constant grinding wheel linear speed of 80 m per second, grinding trolley speed up to 1.2 m under load and positioning accuracy within 1 mm. Full skin grinding depth is automatically controlled within 0.5 to 3 mm. 

The scope includes mechanical equipment, electrical and automation systems. Installation was completed in December 2025, with successful hot commissioning following in a single trial and fulfillment of all parameters, the companies said.
