Danieli Completes PG Test for Rebar Mill at Jai Raj Ispat
11/19/2025 - Danieli announced it has successfully completed the performance guarantee (PG) test for the thermomechanically treated (TMT) rebars at Jai Raj Ispat Ltd. in the Orvakal Mega Industrial Hub in Kurnool, India.
The companies said the test was completed two months after production start-up on the machine which has an output of about 350,000 metric tons annually.
The first plant in India to implement MIDA quality long product (QLP) technology, it features a compact continuous layout. It integrates a ladle refining furnace, continuous casting machine, induction heater and high-speed rolling mill in an endless casting-rolling configuration.
The MIDA QLP process allows for direct conversion of liquid steel into finished TMT bars in a single sequence. The companies said this reduces thermal losses and intermediate handling, reduces energy consumption and improves metallurgical consistency.
Jai Raj Ispat said the configuration allows it to produce TMT rebars with lower environmental impact and lower operational costs.
