According to Danieli, the contract with Acciaierie Venete provides for a line that will produce special steel smooth rounds in diameters ranging from 5.5 mm to 25 mm.

It will feature three fast-finishing blocks to perform a total of 18 passes, a gauge measurement system and a high-speed shear.

“The new line will be designed with the provision of in-line low-temperature rolling for specific final applications,” Danieli said.

The contract includes engineering, manufacturing, installation, on-site training, and advisory services. The mill is to enter service in early 2025, Danieli said.
