According to Danieli, Usiminas’ Converter No. 4 will be replaced with a 180-metric-ton unit featuring an air-cooled vessel barrel and a water-cooled top cone. The order also includes a temperature monitoring system, automation package and suspension system.
Usiminas subsidiary Usimec will build the vessel under the supervision of Danieli.
