Danieli Installs New Cybersecurity System at ABS
09/02/2021 - Danieli Automation’s cybersecurity team designed and installed a custom platform to protect the Acciaierie Bertoli Safau (ABS) QWR4.0 wire rod mill against cyberattacks, Danieli said in a press release.
Continuity of service is ensured via a virtual IT environment with a remote backup system, Danieli said, and the system can be incorporated into existing plant designs.
The installation included hardware and software to detect anomalies, a fieldbus network, and new technologies for monitoring and security.
The wire rod mill started up in June in Udine, Italy.
