Danieli Revamps Italian EAF
07/22/2020 - Italian long products maker Ferriere Nord has upgraded the electric arc furnace at its plant in Osoppo, according to project contractor Danieli.
According to Danieli, the improvements included a new furnace shells and roofs.
“The new shells, supplied in a larger diameter of 7.1 m, will allow the use of a two-bucket charging process, resulting in reduced power-off time and emissions,” Danieli said.
