According to Danieli, it will equip the casters with level 2 systems that include process control models and production tracking capabilities.

“Dedicated models will manage the cooling process and quality assessment of cast slabs, with specific cut-optimization modules,” Danieli said. 

The installation is intended to align process control of the slab casters with two new, double-strand slab casters that are also being supplied by Danieli, the company said.
