The companies said the Q3-Manufacturing solution is web-based and will provide a fully integrated platform for product management, operational coordination, quality control and advanced analytics. It will cover two meltshops, a quality strip production thin-slab caster and hot strip mill, a billet caster, two bar and wire rod mills, and a hot skinpass mill. 

The scope of the MES includes order dressing, operational planning and detailed scheduling, meltshop pacing and real-time shop floor coordination, raw materials and finished products yard management, quality management, in-line and predictive quality control, as well as advanced analytics and reporting.

The project is the latest in a series of collaborations between Danieli and Ezz Steel.
