Danieli, the original equipment manufacturer of the hot strip mill, will deliver comprehensive mechanical equipment packages and provide technical services for installation and commissioning. It will also oversee the installation and integration of the new systems. 

The company said the upgrades “aim to further debottleneck the mill and support the plant's increased production capacity targets.” They estimate the new cooling system will also enhance the capabilities of the facility and allow them to offer a wider range of products. 

The downcoiler installation will be executed mostly during plant operation while the cooling system installation will be carried out in two phases, utilizing three scheduled outages. 

The companies said they expect the projects to be complete by the end of first quarter 2027.
