The company said the 3-strand caster will produce ultralarge, high-alloy round billets up to 1,000 mm diameter including grades P91/P92. These steels have high mechanical standards for specialized applications including pressure pipeline components in the power, petroleum, chemical and metallurgical industries.

Danieli said the scope includes complete core area design, key equipment supply and full Danieli Automation L1 and L2 systems. 

This marks the eighth order of its kind received by Danieli in recent years from China.
