Danieli to Supply Water Treatment Plant to JSW Steel
02/10/2026 - JSW Steel has turned to Danieli for the design and supply of a water treatment plant (WTP) to serve the Phase-3 expansion of its hot strip mill at the Dolvi Works in Maharashtra, India.
The companies said the new unit will supply water to the mill, caster and tunnel furnaces of the thin-slab casting and rolling operation. It will be one of the largest WTPs Danieli has installed, with a circuit flowrate of about 58,000 m³/hour.
Danieli said the WTP will have DanFilters™. Danieli Automation has designed the automation system to provide control and monitoring for stable and efficient operation. The scope includes design, engineering, supply and advisory services.
The WTP is scheduled to begin operation in December 2026, the companies said.
