Danieli Wins Order for Caster Upgrade
06/30/2017 - The Steel Authority of India has awarded a contract to Danieli for improvements to a bloom caster at its Durgapur facility, the equipment supplier has announced.
Under the contract, Danieli will install a new 300x150 mm casting section on the four-strand caster.
“The purpose of the upgrade is to fill the gap in the requirements of the medium structural mill,” Danieli said in a statement.
The project will take the plant’s installed capacity to 2.2 million metric tons annually, Danieli said.
