Danieli Wins Order for Converter Sublance
07/10/2020 - China’s Hunan Valin Xiangtan Iron & Steel has signed Danieli Corus to design and build a sublance system for an 80-ton converter.
“Sublance-based process control offers BOF plants benefits in terms of higher hit rates, shorter tap-to-tap times and reduced consumption of utilities and fluxes — increasing a plant’s technical as well as financial performance,” Danieli said in a statement.
Danieli said the sublance will be installed on one of the converters at the company’s No. 2 BOF plant in Xiangtan City.
