According to Danieli, work on the No. 1 galvanizing line at Marcegaglia’s Ravenna, Italy, plant entailed changes to the furnace’s horizontal direct flame fired section and its pre-heating section as well as improvements to the after pot cooling system. 

Work was completed within a project window of 50 days, Danieli said. 

“In fact, the pre-assembly strategy for steel structures, furnace casing and piping, along with a massive pre-test of the automation system, made it possible to save 10 days of installation time,” the company said.
