Deacero Casts First Billet on Danieli-Supplied Plant
11/02/2026 - Deacero’s new mini-mill in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, has cast the first billet on its new Danieli-supplied plant.
The companies said the layout allows the continuous caster complex to operate using the electric arc furnace (EAF) in Steelmaking Plant No. 1 while commissioning continues on its new EAF in Steelmaking Plant No. 2.
Now that the first billet has been successfully cast, the company can move onto the next commissioning phase. This includes start-up of beam-blank production as they move toward production of large structural sections.
