Egyptian Mill’s Furnace Upgrade Yields Big Fuel Savings
03/29/2021 - Danieli recently completed upgrades to a reheat furnace at Egypt’s El Masria Steel, the equipment manufacturer has said.
According to Danieli, the project entailed installation of a new combustion system, a new recuperator and a new automation system. The goal of the project was to reduce fuel consumption by 25%. Not only was the goal met, but exceeded by an additional 20% reduction, Danieli said.
“The outstanding performance led to an extremely quick final acceptance for the project,” Danieli said in a statement.
