Evraz Announces New Management Appointments
02/17/2011 - Evraz has made two new management appointments, both the result of an internal restructuring process that created two new positions: Vice President, Sales and Vice President, Procurement.
Evraz has made two new management appointments, both the result of an internal restructuring process.
The company undertook the restructuring in order to distinguish two differently focused commercial processes, and has thus restructured the divisions of VP, Commerce and Director of Procurement. As a result, two new positions have been created – Vice President, Sales and Vice President, Procurement. Both VPs will report directly to the CEO of Evraz Group.
The company appointed Ilya Shirokobrod to the new role of Vice President, Sales. In his new role Ilya will retain the position of General Manager of the trading company, EvrazHolding. In addition he will also direct sales of rolled products, EvrazMetall, Inprom and other dealers’ activities, as well as logistics, including Nakhodka Trade Sea Port and EvrazTrans.
Ilya joined the Evraz team in 2010. Prior to that, he held various management roles in Centravis Limited, Alcoa CSI, Melitta Russland and Tetra Pak. In 2005 he obtained an MBA degree from Stockholm School of Economics.
The company appointed Yury Pavlov to the new role of Vice President, Procurement. In his new position, Pavlov will be responsible for procurement of raw materials, equipment and componentry necessary for manufacturing and investment projects. He will also direct procurement procedures in accordance with the company’s Procurement Policy and optimize business processes as part of procurement integration of Evraz entities.
Yury joined the Evraz team in 1996 and has held various positions including Head of Finance to Director of Procurement. He holds a degree from the Finance Academy under the government of the Russian Federation and an MBA degree from the Academy of National Economy under the government of the Russian Federation.
