Expanded Contract Expected to Generate US$50M for Harsco
11/29/2016 - Mill services contractor Harsco Corp. will be taking on an expanded role at a long products mill in Colorado, adding scrap management services to its list of responsibilities.
Harsco already provides EVRAZ Pueblo with on-site metal recovery and slag handling services, but it now will take charge of scrap handling, processing and inspection under a multiyear expansion of its contract, the company said.
Harsco said the expanded contract is expected to generate about US$50 million in additional revenue over the life of the deal.
Harsco has been providing on-site services to the mill for nearly 15 years. The mill produces high-strength rail, seamless pipe, rod and coiled reinforcing bar.
