The new machine design, according to Danieli, offers consolidated quality performances, improved maintainability and shorter cleaning operations. The company reports that Ferriere Nord has seen a 5% increase in efficiency by utilizing the new welder.
 
In addition, the welding clamps feature a cartridge concept for quick and easy replacement, allowing for off-line maintenance.
 
Ferriere Nord put the new billet welder into operation during a 3-week plant maintenance shutdown in January.
