Fives to Deliver OTO Tube Mill to Aceros Arequipa
06/02/2026 - Peruvian steel producer Aceros Arequipa has contracted Fives to supply a full OTO tube mill with integrated finishing equipment for its plant in Lima, Peru.
The companies said the scope includes the full production line including the entry section to packaging and strapping. Fives will design, supply and install the mill. Once completed, it will produce tubes for construction and structural applications.
“This project was developed through close collaboration, supporting the customer with technical recommendations and best practices to achieve stable production, high-quality standards, and maximum productivity,” said Carlos Quintanilla, vice president of sales — Mexico and Latin America at Fives.
The line can produce wall thickness up to 2 mm and diameters up to 40 mm. It will also have a packaging section. Features also include an advanced software package to support operators with equipment and preventive maintenance, the companies said.
