Gazi Metal Taps Pomini Tenova for New Roll Grinder

The companies said the new machine allows for simple installation and reduced infrastructure requirements. Other features include flexible integration; reduced civil works, lower costs and shorter preparation times; and increased throughput and productivity.

“Our consistent satisfaction over the years with the performance of the Pomini Combi grinder and the integrated Mill Communication System, ensuring seamless data exchange between the roll shop and the mill, has been a key factor behind our decision to expand our collaboration,” said Mustafa Gazioğlu, chief executive officer of Gazi Metal.

Gazi Metal said it is thinking of also implementing Pomini Tenova’s Pomini Digital Surface Analysis (PDSA), an artificial intelligence with the capability to detect micro-defects.

The companies said delivery is scheduled for early 2027 with commissioning following shortly after.
