Hamilton Spectator: U. S. Steel Nanticoke Steelworkers Reach Impasse in Negotations

In a note posted to its website Monday evening, leaders of Local 8782 of the United Steel Workers say they hope to hold a meeting as early as Wednesday to update members on the situation.
“The Local 8782 bargaining committee has reached an impasse on reaching a new collective agreement with the company. We are trying to get a meeting place for the earliest time with a target date of Wednesday based on availability,” the note said.
A 72-hour countdown to job action at the plant has not been triggered yet…
