Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel Taps Danieli for New Bow-Type Continuous Caster
07/15/2026 - Danieli announced it has been chosen to design and supply a new bow-type continuous casting machine (CCM) for Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd.’s Jiyuan Plant in Henan province, China.
Danieli said the new caster will be able to produce round blooms from 600 mm to 1,300 mm diameter. The alloy steel grades will be used in mostly the energy and marine sectors.
The scope includes the core equipment for the machine, electrical and automation systems. It will have an 18.5 m radius and four stands. In 2023, Danieli supplied a similar CCM at the same site but with two strands.
The companies said start-up is scheduled for 2027.
