Henan Jiyuan Taps Danieli for New EAF
06/02/2026 - Danieli announced it will supply a new 55-metric-ton ECS Zerobucket™ electric arc furnace (EAF) to Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., assisting in its transition from basic oxygen furnace steelmaking toward green steel production.
The EAF will have advanced Danieli melting technologies with a scrap-preheating tunnel. It will also have automatic process control systems. The ECS Zerobucket is estimated to reduce electrical energy consumption, carbon emissions and generation of harmful gases.
Henan Jiyuan Iron & Steel said the project will allow it to improve product quality while reducing emissions.
The companies have worked together several times in the past for continuous casting and rolling technologies.
This is the 32nd ECS Zerobucket EAF Danieli has delivered in China.
