Herr-Voss Stamco Provides 3-Roll Flattener to FerrouSouth
02/17/2014 - Herr-Voss Stamco recently engineered, manufactured, and integrated a new 3-roll flattener into FerrouSouth’s existing Herr-Voss Stamco cut-to-length line in Iuka, Miss.
With the addition of the 3- roll flattener, FerrouSouth is now capable of processing high strength steel up to ½” x 96”. This line configuration is new to the metal processing industry and was co-developed by Herr-Voss Stamco and FerrouSouth.
This 3-roll flattener was designed to compensate for the limitations of the stretcher leveling process of eliminating crossbow on heavy gauge, wide, big grade product.
“Coupling Herr-Voss Stamco’s 3-roll flattener to our existing line yielded exceptional results,” said FerrouSouth president Ed Gonzalez.
