Hòa Phát Group Proposes Development of Thạch Khê Iron Ore Mine
05/27/2026 - Hòa Phát Group submitted a proposal to the Vietnam government to either independently or jointly commercially utilize the Thạch Khê iron ore mine, reported Vietnam News.
The company said currently, most of its iron ore supply is imported due to limitations of domestic sources. The reserves at Thạch Khê iron ore mine have not yet been used commercially despite an estimated 500 million metric tons of product within, Vietnam News said.
