HWI Partners With Electrified Thermal Solutions for New Industrial Heat Technology
07/24/2025 - Electrified heating and thermal energy storage solutions company Electrified Thermal Solutions has partnered with HWI, a member of Calderys, to develop and produce electrically conductive firebricks (E-bricks).
Electrified Thermal said the E-bricks will be used in its Joule Hive™ Thermal Battery. They will be manufactured at HWI’s production facilities. The companies said the collaboration will reduce costs and reduce emissions in energy-intensive industries while maintaining reliable performance.
Commercial demonstration of E-bricks is expected to be operational in 2025. The company’s goal is to deploy 2 gigawatts of electrified thermal power by 2030.
