Hyundai Steel Sales to Outside Automakers Tops 20%
01/21/2025 - Hyundai Steel has reached a new sales milestone, selling more than 1 million metric tons of automotive sheet in 2024 to foreign automakers other than affiliates Hyundai and Kia, reports The Korea Economic Daily.
The volume represents around 20% of 2024 auto steel production. The milestone is significant as the steelmaker is attempting to lift the proportion of automotive steel sales to outside automakers to 40%.
