Industry Mourns the Loss of DJ Springer, Owner of Springer Co. Inc.
06/18/2026 - Dennis James “DJ” Springer II, owner of Springer Co. Inc. and Life Member of AIST, passed away on 12 June 2026, leaving behind a profound mark on the steel industry.
Born on 24 September 1959 in Zelienople, Pa., USA, Springer leaves behind a strong legacy in both his family and career in the steel industry. He graduated from Westminster College in 1981.
Springer’s father, James C. Springer, founded Springer Co. Inc. in the 1940s. After taking the helm, DJ went on to dedicate his professional life to supporting the global steel industry. The company’s legacy will be carried on by his son, Ryan Springer, who worked alongside him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Butler Country Club on 10 July.
