Italy Takes Steps to Repossess Its Largest Steelworks
01/19/2024 - The Italian government is moving to put the former ILVA steelworks under special administration after failing to agree with majority owner ArcelorMittal on a capital injection plan, reports the (London) Financial Times.
According to the Financial Times, Italian state investment agency, Invitalia, which holds a minority position in the steelworks, kicked off the process earlier this week when it made a formal request for a special administrator to run the company.
