08/28/2017 - Two Japanese electric arc furnace producers plan to open merger talks, according to the Nikkei Asian Review.
According to the publication, Tokyo Tekko and Itoh Iron & Steel, both of which produce rebar, already share a sales unit, and merging production would help the companies survive in an overcrowded market.
