“I hereby submit my request to be relieved from the services of the company due to personal commitments. I sincerely appreciate the guidance and support extended by your goodself, the Board of Directors, my colleagues and the entire Jindal Steel team,” wrote Malhotra in the resignation letter on the exchanges.

Malhotra has served in the position since 28 October 2025. The company has not yet named a new chief executive officer, the Economic Times reported.
