Jindal Steel Taps Metso for Filtration Equipment
07/10/2025 - Metso Corp. announced it has received an order from Jindal Steel for sustainable filtration technology to be used at its iron ore pellet plant in Angul, India.
The company said Metso will supply six fully automatic Larox® fast-opening filter press (FFP) 3512 filters for installation at the pellet plant. They provide a reliable and optimized dewatering solution for concentrates, tailing and bulk applications.
“Our filters, featuring advanced membrane technology and hole-less filter cloths, deliver unmatched performance in terms of moisture reduction in the cake and filter availability,” said Vijay Dhar, vice president of minerals sales, Middle East and India at Metso.
With a significant presence in steel, mining and infrastructure, Jindal Steel has a production capacity of 9.6 million metric tons annually and a captive power capacity of 1,634 megawatts.
