Joint Venture Wins Bid for Former ArcelorMittal Plant in Trinidad
05/02/2019 - ArcelorMittal’s shuttered Point Lisas facility in Trinidad and Tobago has a new owner, Trinidad and Tobago Newsday reports.
According to the newspaper, the winning bidder, Aeternus Steel Holdings Ltd., is a joint venture between Dubai-based Cassia Group and Trinidad-based Integrus Group. According to Newsday, the joint venture intends to restart the plant, but will do so incrementally.
