The fifth-generation automation technology utilized in the upgrade includes an on-line profile surface inspection system, ultrasonic testing equipment and a 360° brushing machine.
 
“We are continuously upgrading our facilities to eliminate human dependence in rails inspection,” said JSPL’s managing director V R Sharma. “The new line will enable JSPL to enhance the production and inspection capacity of rails up to 1 million metric tons per year.”
