JSW Steel Awards Furnace Contract to Fives
01/24/2018 - Industrial engineering firm Fives has bagged an order for two high-capacity reheat furnaces from India’s JSW Steel, the firm reported on Wednesday.
In a statement, Fives said the two Stein Digit@l Furnaces are bound for JSW’s Dolvi Works and will serve the strip mill.
“The Stein Digit@l Furnace® will have the highest slab-reheating furnace capacity installed in India to date: 450 tons per hour,” the company said.
The order arises from a brownfield expansion project at the Dolvi mill, which will see its capacity double to 10 million metric tons by 2020.
