The companies said the new line will produce galvanized steel including advanced high-strength steel grades for automotive applications. It will process steel strip up to 1,900 mm wide and 2.6 mm thick with tensile strengths up to 1,480 MPa at speeds up to 180 m per minute. It has an estimated capacity of about 500,000 metric tons annually.

The scope of supply includes engineering, manufacturing and supply of the complete line. This included terminal equipment, chemical cleaning section, furnace, coating pot and after-pot cooling, skinpass mill, tension leveling line and a post-treatment section. 

The companies said start-up is scheduled for 2028.
