Lloyds Metals & Energy Turns to Metso for Filtration Technology
04/17/2026 - Metso Corp. announced it has been selected by Lloyds Metals & Energy Ltd. to deliver filtration technology for its iron ore concentrate filtration plants in Ghugus, Manikgarh and Konsari, India.
Lloyds Metals & Energy already has a major sponge iron (DRI) and steel facility with operations including iron ore mining, sponge iron production and steelmaking. They intend to expand these plants and install 10 fully automatic Metso Larox® fast-opening filter press (FFP) 3512 filters, the companies said.
“Metso has been a trusted partner in our growth journey. Their FFP filters are reliable machines that enable optimized concentrate production at our plants,” said Priya Ranjan Prasad, director of projects at Lloyds Metals & Energy.
The company said the fully automatic FFP pressure filters can be used as a dewatering solution for concentrates, tailings and bulk applications.
“Our filters, featuring advanced membrane technology and holeless filter cloths, deliver unmatched performance in moisture reduction and filter availability,” said Vijay Dhar, vice president of mineral sales in the Middle East and India at Metso.
