Loftis Steel & Aluminum to Launch New Operation in North Alabama
08/26/2025 - Family-owned steel fabrication company Loftis Steel & Aluminum will invest US$6.5 million in building a high-tech operation in Decatur, Ala.
The new facility will have advanced manufacturing technologies including state-of-the-art fiber lasers, nitrogen generation systems and other precision cutting systems. It is expected to bring 20 new jobs to people in North Alabama.
“[The new facility] provides a springboard for us to more effectively service the ever-expanding North Alabama market,” said Tom Russell, president and chief executive officer of Loftis Steel & Aluminum.
The company said the new facility’s location will be better positioned to serve regional clients and support supply chains in key industries.
Chairman of the Limestone County Commission Collin Daly said, “This expansion strengthens our industrial base and demonstrates confidence in our skilled workforce.”
