LOI Italimpianti Tenova to Supply HPH Annealing Plant for Tianjin
03/26/2010 - Tianjin No. 1 Iron & Steel Group awards a contract to LOI Thermprocess for the installation of an HPH bell-type annealing plant for annealing cold-rolled steel coils.
Tianjin No. 1 Iron & Steel Group, Tianjin, HINA, has awarded a contract to LOI Thermprocess for the installation of an HPH® bell-type annealing plant for annealing cold-rolled steel coils.
The contract’s scope comprises the supply of 17 bases, 8 heating hoods and 9 cooling hoods with water spray cooling. The furnaces are to be designed for annealing stacks with weights of up to 125 tonnes, heights up to 5400 mm, and coil outer diameters of 2100 mm. The plant, which will have an annual capacity of 308,000 tonnes, will be used to treat steel qualities from CO to DDQ.
The new plant will be equipped with a Siemens S7-300 PLC control system and an advanced ProView® control computer system. Commissioning is scheduled for August 2010.
