MaSteel Selects KOCKS to Upgrade Rolling Operations
10/08/2026 - KOCKS announced it has been selected to provide a 4D EAGLE S laser gauge to Maanshan Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. to upgrade its rolling operations.
The companies said the laser gauge will monitor rolled bars with dimensions between 15 to 100 mm. It provides data on profile and surface to support the rolling processes across the product mix and decision-making based on that data. Used in combination with the KOCKS size control system, the existing 4D EAGLE predecessor system will be replaced.
MaSteel said its key motivation for the upgrade is integrating advanced defect classification along with the system’s precise profile measurement capabilities.
Commissioning is planned for the first half of 2027, the companies said.
