Metso to Supply Metallic Liners to BHP
06/23/2025 - Metso Corp. announced it has signed a 3-year agreement to supply Australian mining and metals company BHP with metallic liners for chute solutions.
Metso said it will support BHP’s Western Australian iron ore operations with various liner solutions including XAlloyTM metallic, cast wear liners and others. They offer a wide range of protective chute lining solutions in multiple materials for various customer needs.
“We are strongly focused on delivering better overall efficiency and productivity for our customer operations,” said Tobias Krull, director of chute and conveyor solutions at Metso. “With our extensive offering in chute liner designs, backed by decades of experience and innovation, we can deliver greater uptime, and safer, quicker maintenance for our customers.”
The company said its lining solutions minimize downtime and maximize throughput and productivity.
Metso has multiple manufacturing operations in Australia including foundry, specialized rubber and Poly-Met production. It also has its largest service center in Karratha in Western Australia. Its manufacturing and services capabilities allow it to locally serve customers near their main mining areas.
