NSL Green Steel Recycling Turns to Danieli Centro Recycling for Shredding Technology
05/01/2025 - Danieli Centro Recycling announced it has been selected to deliver its technology for JSW Steel subsidiary NSL Green Steel Recycling’s heavy-duty shredder at its facility in Maharashtra, India.
Danieli said the shredder will be able to process a combination of light- to medium-grades of ferrous scrap, sheared light demolition scrap, cars and car bales. They estimate productivity will exceed 100 tph.
To avoid downtimes in scrap loading, an infeed conveyor will constantly feed the plant. It will also feature downstream shredded scrap separation to clean the material and separate ferrous and nonferrous scrap. A radial conveyor will stockpile the ferrous shredded product into a single area. It will be charged for melting at JSW Steel works, the company said.
The machine will also feature a Danieli-patented variable speed drive system to power the shredder’s main motor. The company estimates this will improve productivity levels and enhance torque control for heavy metals processing.
Danieli said their features will lower electrical power consumption without compromising productivity.
