Ohio Blast Furnace Being Taken Off-Line

04/09/2020 - ArcelorMittal is preparing to idle the No. 6 blast furnace at its Cleveland, Ohio, USA, facility, reports The Times newspaper of northwest Indiana.

"The COVID-19 outbreak has impacted ArcelorMittal USA’s key use markets. In response to this, we are adapting our capacity to meet changing demand while maintaining the flexibility of our operations," a company spokesman told the newspaper.
