One of the World’s Largest Steelmakers Lays Plans for the World’s Largest Mill
01/11/2024 - ArcelorMittal intends to build its Hazira, India, plant into the world’s single-largest steelmaking complex, company founder Lakshmi Mittal has announced, according to The (India) Economic Times.
Speaking at an event Wednesday, Mittal said the plant will be built up to a capacity of 24 million metric tons. A first phase of construction is to conclude in 2026. A second phase is to end in 2029.
