Outokumpu Announces Changes in Leadership Team
10/06/2025 - Outokumpu announced it has appointed Johann Steiner as president of business area Americas as of 6 October.
“With more than 10 years in the company, Johann brings extensive leadership experience across multiple functions and a deep understanding of the group strategy and the stainless steel market. His expertise will be valuable in growing Outokumpu’s business in [the] Americas as a part of our new EVOLVE strategy, and I wish him all the success in his new role,” said Kati ter Horst, president and chief executive officer of Outokumpu.
Steiner will continue to be a member of the company’s leadership team. He will be based in Calvert, Ala., USA, and continue to report to ter Horst.
Most recently, he held the role of executive vice president of strategy, sustainability and people. The search for the role’s successor is ongoing.
The company said Steiner’s predecessor, Tamara Weinert, will pursue new challenges.
“I also want to thank Tamara Weinert for her contribution and commitment throughout her years at Outokumpu,” said ter Horst.
